![]() I think Jesus and Buddha pretty much preached the same thing. Men have subsequently turned it into an "us against them" mentality when Jesus actually taught love and acceptance. God is within each of us. Some interpret scripture to mean that the only way to God is through Jesus and that all other religions are false. Jesus said "the kingdom of God is within you." Perhaps history's translating and alterations for Jesus' words have resulted in this separation of cultures when I'm quite sure Jesus would want us all to love each other. I grew up with Jesus, studied Buddhism, married into Hinduism and now like dogs better than some people. I have to believe that all religions aim to know the God within, and that men have polluted that basic truth with separation in the form of spiritual interpretations.

It is very interesting to note that the word "sin" derives from the Greek word hamartia, meaning "to miss the mark" or "to miss the target".
