Humans spend countless hours on the weekend studying holy texts. They spend virtually no time studying physical cosmology. Why is this? How many of us look at the sun and realize that it is a star like any other, and that our near-ness makes it seem larger and different than other stars? Why does a belief in God seek to deny science when God created science, too? Our earth bound perspective keeps us in a fog where politics and boundaries keep us separate, but when you look at the earth in space you realize that we are all connected on a finite globe. We are all sharing this fragile home. Check out this link describing the experience of humans who have been in space and looked back at the earth: astronauts-returning-to-earth
